Melissa is first an artist, a modern-day Renaissance woman who completes anything she starts. A professional singer and actor, she has traveled the world performing and creating. She is also a published poet and playwright, with a new photography and poetry book coming out now. A Northern California native, she grew up on the beaches of Santa Cruz and the romantic streets of San Francisco.
She is an award-winning businesswoman, founder of MoWicks, CEO of M Online, and an inspirational speaker. Melissa won a Gold Stevie Award for Social Media Manager of the Year in the Asia-Pacific in 2023, was a finalist for Young Executive of the Year for CEO Magazine in 2023, and received two Stevie Awards in 2023 for innovation in marketing. She is also one of the five founders of Antipodes Theatre Company.
Melissa is the former Head of Growth & Engagement at Clyne Partners, former Co-Artistic Director at Brooklyn Runaways, and former Vice Chair of Democrats Abroad in Victoria. She is a co-founder of Expat Women at Work and has served as an advisor for "She's the Boss," a mentor at Business in Heels, and a member of organizations such as One Roof and We Aspire.
A graduate of the MFA program at the University of Tennessee, one of the world's top programs, Melissa also holds a BA from California State University, Fullerton, and attended San Francisco School of the Arts. Depending on work, she lives in New York, Melbourne, and Italy.
